Devin Booker to replace Anthony Davis on Western Conference All-Star team

After announcing reserves on Tuesday, the League has already ruled out AD and replaced him with the top snub.

Phoenix Suns G Devin Booker has been named an injury replacement for Los Angeles Lakers PF Anthony Davis in the 2021 NBA All-Star Game for the Western Conference. AD was named as a reserve on Tuesday night. Booker, who was viewed as a lock to make the team, was one of the players dubbed a snub after the announcement. Well, it looks like Booker will get in with AD dealing with a calf strain and unable to play.

If you remember, last season for the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, Portland Trail Blazers PG Damian Lillard was unable to play in the game. Booker was named as a replacement for Dame, so that makes two straight seasons in which Booker has made it in as an injury replacement. It’s sort of a slap in the face this season. Nobody really expected Davis to play in the game. He should have been ruled out beforehand and Booker named with everyone else. Plus, AD really wasn’t even that deserving to begin with.
