Pick against the spread, best player prop for Clippers vs. Grizzlies on Thursday

We go over some of the best betting options for Thursday’s matchup between the LA Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies.

The Memphis Grizzlies are playing host to the Los Angeles Clippers tonight in hopes of gaining some ground in the standings after losing their last two straight, most recently dropping a 92-102 result to the Mavericks. They’ll look to bounce back tonight which is quite a task considering they’re up against the second-place Clippers.

LA, who have won only two of their last four, will be looking to get back to their winning ways after dropping results to the Jazz and the Nets, though they edged out the first-place Jazz in their second of back-to-back meetings just last week after the return of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Clippers vs. Grizzlies, 8:00 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass

Pick ATS: Clippers -8

While the spread is set at eight points for tonight’s game, I don’t think it’ll be a surprise to anyone that the Clippers are expected to win outright especially now that they’ve got their two stars back in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Since their return, they’ve combined for an average of 56.3 points per game, making the Clippers look like the team we’ve seen for most of the season.

Leonard finished with a team-high 32 points against the Wizards on Tuesday while adding four assists and seven rebounds in the Clippers’ 135-116 victory. George added 30 points himself, while the next closest player was Reggie Jackson with 17. It’s clear that with their two biggest scorers healthy, LA is capable of beating nearly any team in the league.

The Grizzlies, while being one of the league’s leaders in points in the paint, have still been struggling to find a good run of form, winning only two of their last five contests.

Player Prop: Kawhi Leonard O2.5 three-pointers (+165)

Since Kawhi’s return, he’s gone 8-for-20 from beyond the arc in three games. That includes the 0-for-4 he logged in their win against the Jazz, but he followed that performance up with 5-for-9 and 3-for-7 against the Nets and the Wizards, respectively. Going up against a team like the Grizzlies, this one should be a no-brainer with the way he’s been playing.
