How and what to watch for No. 13 Creighton vs. Xavier

The No. 13-ranked Creighton Blue Jays will be looking to take the season series from the Xavier Musketeers on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET on FOX. The last time these two teams played each other on Dec. 23, Creighton came away with a 66-61 win.

Creighton (17-5, 13-4 Big East) enters this conference matchup on a four-game winning streak. They defeated DePaul Blue Demons 77-53 on Wednesday. In their last three wins, the Jays have won by an average of 18.3 points. Creighton averages 79.0 points per game and only allows 68.4 points per game on the defensive end this season. CU will have their attention on Xavier forward Zach Freemantle, who is averaging a team-high 16.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.

Xavier (12-5, 5-5 Big East) was defeated 83-68 by the Providence Friars for their second-straight road loss on Wednesday. The Musketeers have lost three out of their five games, with their only two wins coming against the Butler Bulldogs. Xavier needs this win as they are one game behind the UConn Huskies for fourth place in the Big East standings.
