In one of several games on the NBA’s Saturday night schedule, we have the New Orleans Pelicans taking on the San Antonio Spurs at 8 p.m. ET. The last time these two divisional foes played each other, the Pelicans won 98-95 over the Spurs on Dec. 27.

New Orleans is walking into this game off of a 129-125 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night. The Pelicans have lost three out of their last five games and have a record of 1-4 in their last five road contests.

As for the Spurs, they were back in action for the first time in 10 days as they lost 102-99 to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. San Antonio came into that game missing multiple players due to health and safety protocols. The Spurs have a record of 6-4 in their last 10 games and 3-5 against the southwest division this season.

Can the undermanned Spurs pull the upset over the Pelicans? We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Pelicans vs. Spurs, 8:00 p.m. ET NBA TV

Pick ATS: Pelicans -2.5

The line for Saturday night’s game is currently set at 2.5 points, with the Pelicans being favored on the road. New Orleans are 4-6 in their last 10 games, scoring 124.3 points per game, but allowing 122.9 points to opponents.

The Pelicans are also 3-6 against the spread in their last nine games and 7-9 ATS away from the Smoothie King Arena. New Orleans comes in healthy with their dynamic duo of Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram. Both players are scoring close to 50 ppg, which has been a major key to their success this season. Additionally, they’ve been getting contributions from Lonzo Ball, who is averaging 16.4 points per game in New Orleans’ last 10 games.

The Spurs have a record of 4-2 against the spread in their last six games, but are 1-4 ATS in their last five at home. This season, when they are the underdog, they’ve been a good bet at 10-5 ATS. San Antonio will be without Derrick White, Rudy Gay, Keldon Johnson, Quinddary Weatherspoon and Devin Vassell. But the good news is DeMar DeRozan is available to play and LaMarcus Aldridge remains questionable. If DeRozan and Aldridge plays, that would be a major help to the offense, which leaned on Dejounte Murray against OKC. Murray scored a team-high 27 points, but the Spurs’ defense suffered as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander went off for 42 points.
