The Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers get the eight-game slate going on Sunday afternoon. The Bucks are looking for their fifth straight win while the Clippers have been trading wins and losses the past week or so. Lou Williams remains away from the team for the Clippers. The Bucks are expected to get a guard of their own back into the lineup on Sunday with Jrue Holiday coming back from health and safety protocols. Holiday will be a big boost for the Bucks, who haven’t played well in his absence (though they’ve just turned things around). Let’s make some picks.
Pick ATS: Bucks -2
If Holiday is back and he isn’t restricted, I like the Bucks to carry some momentum into a big game. The Bucks have played better recently and Giannis Antetokounmpo is looking more like the reigning back-to-back MVP, scoring at least 37 points in three straight games. The Clippers don’t have a ton of big bodies to throw at Giannis — really just Serge Ibaka and Ivica Zubac. So I’m expecting more dominance from The Greek Freak, so I’ll take them at home in a close spread.
Player Prop: Kawhi Leonard O2.5 3-Pointers (+126)
Leonard will have to have a big game for the Clippers to hold off the Bucks on the road. If the Bucks come out flat against a tough opponent, I expect it to be because of Kawhi. I like the 3-point spot for him, having made at least 3 treys in three of his past four games. We get some juice on a Kawhi prop that should be a pretty good sweat. It could also be over by halftime, so I’m willing to risk it here.
