No. 10 Alabama lost its last game to No. 9 Oklahoma but remains undefeated in the SEC this year. The Crimson Tide will look to stay that way following their Wednesday matchup against LSU, which they topped by 30 points earlier this month. Will the rematch be a blowout too, or will the Tigers put up a fight?
Alabama (14-4, 9-0) won 10 straight games before its latest loss. While the Crimson Tide have been defeated by a couple of unranked teams, they’ve also taken down some big names, including No. 22 Florida and No. 11 Tennesee. John Petty Jr, Herb Jones, and Jaden Shackleford will all have to be locked in to hold off LSU.
LSU (11-5, 6-3) has been respectable in and out of conference play and ranks second in the SEC. The Tigers are two games back from Alabama alongside No. 22 Florida. Cameron Thomas is one of the most prolific scorers in the country and is averaging a team-high 22.3 points per game. His supporting cast includes Trendon Watford, Ja’Vonte Smart, and Darius Days. All three players average at least 12 points per game.

The Best Bet
Will Wade’s LSU can score, but they struggle to defend elite teams . Alabama is certainly in that category, with the 21st-best adjusted offense in college basketball, as well as the eight-best adjusted defense. The talent gap here is too much to overcome, and Alabama should run away and hide at home. The fact they won by 30 in Baton Rouge shows how bad a matchup this is for the Tigers.
Pick: Alabama -8.5
