The No. 15 Creighton Bluejays have played plenty of close games, but have won enough to be considered an elite Big East team, and they’ll take on a struggling Georgetown Hoyas side on Wednesday night in Omaha.
Creighton (13-4, 9-3 Big East) has won three in a row, and is a top-10 team in America in adjusted offensive efficiency. Senior guard Denzel Mahoney (15.2 PPG) leads an upperclassmen-filled lineup with an eFG of 56.7%. Where Creighton struggles is on the glass, allowing a rebounding differential of -1.7 this season.
Georgetown struggles everywhere, and must be thinking about how Mac McClung transferring to Texas Tech might have helped this season. The Hoyas (4-8, 2-5 Big East) have dealt with a long COVID-19 pause, and had lost five in a row before knocking off Providence 73-72 on Saturday. It’s pretty bleak for Patrick Ewing at his alma mater, which turns over their opponents on just 13.4% of possessions, yet gives it away 20.9% of the time when they have the ball.

The Best Bet
Fourteen is a lot of points, and coming off a win it’s just too many for a Hoyas team that lost a game by that many this season anywhere. Georgetown is bad, but they tend to hang around.
Pick: Georgetown +14
