NBA DFS value plays under $5K for Wednesday, February 3rd

We go over some top bargain options under $5K on DraftKings for Wednesday’s main slate.

After a quiet six-game NBA schedule on Tuesday, we have 10 games on Wednesday, with the first beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET between the Philadelphia 76ers and Charlotte Hornets. That being said, it is a great time to give you some value plays for your DFS contest. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value.

In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays under $5K that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. It does not matter if you are playing a 50/50 or Double Up contest, we are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.

Patty Mills, San Antonio Spurs, $4500

The veteran sharpshooter has been a nice waiver wire add in fantasy basketball and great value play in DFS. This season, Patty Mills is averaging a career-high 14.1 points per game, while shooting 41.9 percent from behind the arc on 6.5 attempts per game. He is also scoring 22.8 fantasy points per game.

The Spurs’ veteran guard has scored in double figures in six-straight games. Also over that duration, Mills is averaging 23.5 fantasy points per game. On Wednesday night, he’s going up against a Timberwolves team that he played last month and averaged 26 fantasy points in both games. This season, Minnesota is ranked 16th against PGs/SGs and allowing opponents to shoot 47.4 percent from the field.

Hamidou Diallo, Oklahoma City Thunder, $4500

Unlike Patty Mills, this is a low-risk, low priority DFS play in Hamidou Diallo. The Thunder will be without star point guard in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on Wednesday night, which means someone else will need to step up. That someone could be either Luguentz Dort or Diallo.

The young high-flying wing player is averaging 11.7 points per game and 22.3 fantasy points per game this season. Diallo has scored at least 10 points or more in six-straight games for OKC. At the same time, he also recorded 15 or more fantasy points, which isn’t bad off the bench. In the Thunder’s first game against Houston on Monday night, Diallo had 26 fantasy points (15 points, two rebounds, four assists, a steal) at a $4400 value. You can play Diallo at either SG/SF or G/F spots.

Doug McDermott, Indiana Pacers, $4700

The former first-round pick out of Creighton has inserted himself as the third or fourth scorer this season for the Pacers. Doug McDermott is averaging 12.7 points per game, while shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 36.6 percent from behind the arc (4.4 attempts per game).

The 29-year-old has scored in double figures in three out of Indiana’s last four games. Also, over that same time, McDermott is averaging 22.1 fantasy points per game. That stat is higher than the veteran forward’s season average of 20.5 FPPG. On Wednesday night, he’ll be facing a Bucks team that ranks 16th against SF/PFs (OPRK) and giving up 112.4 points per game.
