The Raptors (9-12) have won two-straight games after completing a two-game sweep over the Orlando Magic. In their last 10 games, Toronto has a record of 6-4. On Tuesday night, Toronto defeated Orlando 123-108 behind a historic performance from Fred VanVleet. VanVleet scored a career-high 54 points on 17-of-23 shooting from the field and 11-of-14 shooting from distance. His backcourt mate in Kyle Lowry also added a triple-double consisting of 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
The Nets (14-9) defeated the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night 124-120 to win their fourth game out of their last five. Against the Clippers, Brooklyn got a great performance from Kyrie Irving. Irving scored a game-high 39 points (15-23 FG, 6-8 3pt) to go along with five rebounds and two assists. James Harden added a triple-double consisting of 23 points, 14 assists, and 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant finished as the team’s second-leading scorer with 28 points (11-13 FG) and nine rebounds. The Nets shot 57 percent from the field and 41.9 percent from three-point range.

Raptors vs. Nets, 7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Pick ATS: Nets -5
The line for Friday night’s contest is set at five points, with the Nets favored at home. In their last five games against the spread, Brooklyn has a record of 3-2. Their two losses happened against the Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks, where they were favored by six points in both games. The issue for the Nets is their defense as they are giving up 117.8 points per game this season and 131.3 points per game in their last three contests. Brooklyn is also an average 7-7 ATS at Barclays Center this season.
Meanwhile, the Raptors are coming into this game with a record of 2-3 against the spread in their last five games. Their last two wins ATS happened against a Magic team that is missing Aaron Gordon. The last time Toronto was an underdog, they lost 115-108 to the Milwaukee Bucks (+6) on Jan. 27.
The Raptors are 4-6 on the road ATS this season, which has been a microcosm of how they’ve played. Nevertheless, the Nets should be able to cover the spread, if they can play defense like they did on Tuesday. The Raptors are going to need their backcourt to show up and get a perfect performance from Pascal Siakam to keep it close.
Player Prop: Kevin Durant O2.5 3pt made (+125)
After missing all of last season due to rehab, Kevin Durant has been playing at an MVP level this season for the Nets. Durant is averaging 30.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. He’s also shooting 53.3 percent from the field and a career-high 45.2 percent from three-point range on 6.1 attempts per game. Durant has gone over 2.5 three-pointer made in nine out of 17 games played this season. In his last five games, the superstar forward is averaging 2.6 three-pointers made out of 6.2 attempts. Additionally, Toronto is allowing teams to shoot 39.1 percent from behind the arc in their last three games.
