The ninth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners will look to keep their surprise season going when they host an Iowa State Cyclones team that has gone through a difficult year.
Oklahoma (11-5, 6-4 Big 12) had their five-game winning streak snapped in a 57-52 road loss to No. 13 Texas A&M on Monday night. The Sooners put up a good fight but were without two key guards including their leading scorer Austin Reaves and starter Alondes Williams as they’re going through COVID-19 protocols. Both sat out Saturday’s big win over Alabama as well, so check the pregame reports to see whether either will be in the lineup on Saturday.
Iowa State (2-10, 0-7 Big 12) battled through COVID issues of their own when four consecutive games were postponed in January. Still looking for their first conference win in seven tries, the Cyclones came close to an impressive comeback win on Tuesday night but came up short in a 76-72 home loss to the No. 17 West Virginia Mountaineers. Second leading scorer Solomon Young returned to the lineup on Monday, and the Cyclones could get back Javan Johnson, who has missed time in COVID protocol.
