How and what to watch for No. 16 Virginia Tech vs. Miami

Virginia Tech will look to move on without their second leading scorer, who is dealing with legal troubles.

The No. 16 Virginia Tech Hokies will look to get back on track when they head on the road to take on the Miami Hurricanes to start out the college basketball Saturday.

Virginia Tech (13-4, 7-3 ACC) won five of their last six games before falling to the Pittsburgh Panthers 83-72 on Wednesday night. Keve Aluma put up big numbers in the loss with 30 points on 10 of 16 from the floor and knocked down four three-pointers with 10 rebounds and five assists. Aluma is averaging 15.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game to lead the team in all three categories. Second leading scorer Tyrece Radford has been going through a suspension and pleaded guilty to a DUI on Wednesday and pleaded no contest to carrying a concealed weapon.

Miami (7-10, 3-9 ACC) had their four-game winning streak snapped on Monday night when they got the best of the Duke Blue Devils 77-75 at home. Elijah Olaniyi scored 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting including 3-of-5 from three-point range with seven rebounds. Isaiah Wong put up 16 points and is leading the team with 17.3 points per game and averages 5.4 rebounds.
