Best bets for Darrel Williams prop bets in Super Bowl LV

We take a look at the player prop bets for Darrel Williams available on DraftKings Sportsbook ahead of the Super Bowl 55 matchup between the Chiefs and the Bucs.

Even though Clyde Edwards-Helaire has returned to action, Darrel Williams looks to be the No. 1 running back in the Chiefs’ backfield right now. He outgained the rookie 61-8 while receiving twice as many touches during KC’s AFC Championship victory over the Bills. Here are a couple of props of interest for Williams in Sunday’s Super Bowl.

Darrel Williams, Score a touchdown and player’s team wins, Yes (+325)

This is not a good matchup on paper for any of the Chiefs’ running backs, but that money line makes this an intriguing offer. The Chiefs are currently three-point favorites in what forecasts to be a high-scoring Super Bowl (the over-under is 56.5). Although the Buccaneers are the No. 1-ranked defense versus running backs according to DraftKings, Williams should see double-digit touches in this game. You’re basically banking on a scenario where the lead running back on the best offense in football falls into the end zone on one of his 10-15 chances. Tampa Bay has allowed 12 scores to RBs this season, so it’s far from impossible.

Darrel Williams, Total rushing attempts, Over 8.5 (-112)

The rushing attempts line for Williams and CE-H is the same. But again, Williams appears to be at the head of this ground attack right now, and this isn’t a very prohibitive total of carries. Williams has carried the ball 13 times in each of the past two games, one of which came while Edwards-Helaire was inactive. While this game will likely center around each team’s aerial attack, I don’t think Kansas City will abandon the run, especially with Williams averaging five yards per carry during the postseason.
