Super Bowl 55 is quickly approaching, and with that, the events that accompany it. If you don’t want to watch a full day of pre-game coverage, the best alternative — especially in these trying times — is the Puppy Bowl. The event gets going at 2 p.m. ET on Animal Planet, and if you want to watch a live stream, you can enjoy it on Discovery+.

If you’ve never watched the Puppy Bowl, it’s pretty straight forward. The event promotes pet adoption and features puppies on Team Ruff and Team Fluff wearing different color bandanas. Points are scored by dragging a chew toy in the end zone. We can safely say the scoring really doesn’t matter when it comes to enjoying the puppies.

How do I watch?

Kickoff is at 2 p.m. ET on Animal Planet. The show is three hours long and starts around four hours before the Super Bowl.

A live stream of the Puppy Bowl is available via Discovery+.
