The Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off for the second time this season in Tampa, with the Chiefs looking to post back-to-back Super Bowl titles and Tom Brady looking to build on his record seven Super Bowl wins. With just a 3-point spread and an over/under of 56-points, this game could be full of football fireworks.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will be a big part of those fireworks, as he’s easily been the best tight end in the league this season. His 105 receptions for 1,416 yards and 11 touchdowns led all tight ends as he broke George Kittle’s record for most receiving yards by a tight end. This season has elevated talk as to his place in the pantheon of greatest NFL tight ends of all time and another strong showing on Sunday would elevate him even higher on that list.

We’ll be updating Kelce’s performance throughout the game. Check back here throughout the evening.

Update after Q1

The Chiefs are off to a slow start offensively. Through the first quarter, Patrick Mahomes has had just two completions for nine passing yards. Kelce had one of those catches for just six yards.

Update at 9:10 in Q2

Kelce’s second target of the day on 3rd & 8 is a costly drop.

Halftime update

Though the Chiefs remain without a touchdown heading into halftime, Kelce has managed to rack up some yardage for sports bettors. He enters halftime with five catches on six targets for 47 receiving yards. The Chiefs will receive the ball after the half, having deferred to start the game after winning the coin toss.

Update after Q3

The Bucs finished the third quarter of Super Bowl LV with just nine total points on the board. Travis Kelce 72 receiving yards — 55% of all of Mahomes 131 total passing yards in this outing. Though Kelce may appease sports bettors to close out the game, Mahomes has struggled to find rhythm in this outing, even with a decent stat line for Kelce.

Final update

You wouldn’t have guessed that such a great game for Travis Kelce would have ended without a single touchdown for the Chiefs. Kelce led the team with 10 catches for 133 receiving yards — accounting for nearly half of Mahomes’ passing yards on the day.
