A stunner out of Madison Square Garden this morning as Villanova Wildcats guard Justin Moore is on the court warming up ahead of today’s 12 p.m. tilt with the Georgetown Hoyas in the Big East Quarterfinals.
Moore took a nasty fall against Providence in the regular season finale, and looked to be out for today’s game. Combined with the injury to Collin Gillespie, it was a double whammy for the Big East regular season champs, and a team with visions of the Final Four this season.
Even head coach Jay Wright termed it a “severe ankle sprain” on Twitter Monday, and that appeared to be that for his potential appearance at MSG.
But he’s out on the floor of the World’s Most Famous Arena right now:
BIG news right out of the gates this morning at The Garden. Villanova’s Justin Moore is on the court participating in warmups and taking shots. It looks like he could play today for the Wildcats. Three days ago, he was ruled doubtful for the BET with a severe ankle sprain.

The Wildcats are eight-point favorites right now at DraftKings Sportsbook, which is actually down from the 8.5 they were last night. Moore averages 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game for VU.
