How the public is betting UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Muhammad

We discuss the main event for UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Muhammad, which will be televised on ESPN+.

After an exciting and eventual UFC 259 last weekend, the UFC APEX will be back under the primetime lights on Saturday night for UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Muhammad. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. with seven preliminary bouts, followed by the main card starting at 8:00 p.m. which features six bouts. This event will be streamed exclusively on ESPN+.

Saturday’s main card is led by the main event between Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad. Edwards enters the octagon ranked third in the welterweight rankings, while Muhammad is ranked 13th. Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad

It’s a ranked battle for the main event to end main card of UFC Fight Night Saturday. Edwards walks into the octagon with a professional fighting record of 18-3 and as the favorite (-265). “Rocky” is receiving 47% of the handle and 62% of the bets..

The Jamaican mixed marital artist has won eight-straight fights, going back to May 2016 at UFC Fight Night 87. The last time Edwards lost a bout was in December 2015 at UFC on FOX 17 against Kamara Usman. The 29-year-old from England last fought in July 2019 at UFC on ESPN 4, where he defeated Rafael dos Anjos by unanimous decision. Out of his 18 pro wins, Edwards has nine wins surprisingly by decision.

As for Muhammad, he enters the octagon as the underdog (+215), but is receiving 53% of the handle and 38% of bets. The 32-year-old fighter also has a professional fighting record of 18-3.

“Remember the Name” Muhammad has won four-straight matches, including a winning decision last month at Dhiego Lima. At UFC 258, Muhammad defeated Lima by unanimous decision. Just like his opponent, the Chicago native has won a majority of his fights (13) by decision.
