In the first of two games on NBATV, the Detroit Pistons will take on the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. These two teams first played each other on Feb. 9, where the Pistons won 122-111.
The Pistons are coming into the contest on a two-game losing streak. This will be their last game of their four-game road trip. On Thursday night, Detroit lost 105-102 to the Charlotte Hornets. Also, with that loss, the Pistons have lost four out of their last five contests. The Nets have won three-straight games, which includes a 121-109 victory over the Boston Celtics on Thursday night.
Can the Pistons snap their three-game losing streak? Or will the James Harden and Kyrie Irving lead the Nets to another double-digit win? We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.
Pistons vs. Nets, 7:00 p.m.ET, NBA TV
Pick ATS: Nets -11
The line for Saturday night’s contest is currently set at 11 points, with the Nets being favored at home. The last time we saw the Nets on the floor, they handed the Celtics a 12-point loss, thanks to a 40-point effort from Kyrie Irving. Irving shot an efficient 15-of-23 from the field and 5-of-8 from three-point range. Meanwhile, James Harden fell just short of capturing another triple-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.
This season, the Nets have a record of 14-7 when they win by 10 points or more. They are also 11-1 against the spread in their last 12 games. Brooklyn has a record of 11-9 ATS at the Barclays Center. When it comes to being double-digit favorites, the Nets are shockingly 1-2 against the spread.
But they should be able to even that record against a struggling Pistons’ team. Detroit will once again look towards Jerami Grant to the lead the way. He is having a career-year with 23.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assist per game. However, after Grant, its a crapshoot to see who will be their second and third scorers. This season, the Pistons have a record of 9-9-3 against the spread on the road. Additionally, they are shockingly 5-1-1 ATS as double-digit underdogs.
Player Prop: Jerami Grant O5.5 rebounds (+125)
If the Pistons want to defeat the Nets on Saturday night, then it will be up to Jerami Grant to leave his mark. The 27-year-old forward’s prop bet total is currently juiced at +125, but its not out of reach for him to capture. Grant has gone over 5.5 rebounds in only 14 out of 34 games played this season.
When the Pistons played the Nets in early February, Grant had only five rebounds because he carried the offensive workload with 32 points. But in Detroit’s last five games, the 27-year-old forward is averaging 7.0 rebounds and has gone over the prop total three times.
