Jazz vs. Celtics, 7:30 p.m. ET, TNT

Pick ATS: Celtics +4.5

The line for Tuesday night’s game is currently set at 4.5 points, with the Jazz being favored on the road. Utah is coming off of a 12-point loss to the Warriors on Sunday, where All-Star center Rudy Gobert had 24 points and 28 rebounds. Gobert has played a large role in their success this season and one of the reasons why the Jazz averaging 48.1 rebounds per game (second in the NBA).

Along with Gobert, keep an eye out for All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell, who scored 36 points on 12-of-23 shooting from the field and 6-of-13 shooting from three-point range. He also added nine assists and four rebounds. This season, Mitchell is averaging 24.8 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game. The Jazz has struggled recently against the spread, with a record of 1-5 in their last six games. And they are also 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games.

Furthermore, the Jazz have a road record ATS this season of 11-9 and an overall road record of 12-8. Boston is coming into this game at full-strength as they have Marcus Smart back in the fold, which should help tremendously on the perimeter. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown should play large roles in Tuesday night’s contest.

Tatum is averaging 25.1 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game this season. Brown is almost posting similar numbers to Tatum with 24.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. The first-time All-Star is also leading the C’s in fast break points with 4.0 per game. As a team, Boston is averaging 11.5 fast break points per game this season. The Celtics are 3-6 against the spread in their last nine games, but are 11-6 ATS at home this season.

Player Prop: Jaylen Brown O3.5 assists (+115)

This season, the first-time All-Star is averaging a career-high 3.9 assists per game for the Celtics. For Boston to pull out the win, they will need everybody contributing and also sharing the basketball. Brown has gone over 3.5 assists in 18 out of 35 games played this season.

In the Celtics’ last five games, Brown is only averaging 3.4 assists per game, which is below his season average and prop bet. However, within those five contests, he has gone over the prop total three times. The last time the Celtics played the Jazz, Brown had zero assists, but he bounced back with 10 assists in the next game. On Tuesday night, he’s coming off a zero assist game against the Rockets, but had six assists versus the Nets.
