In the last game to tip-off on Tuesday in the association, the Minnesota Timberwolves will play the Los Angeles Lakers at 10:30 p.m. ET. These two teams have already played twice this season, with the Lakers winning both games.

The Timberwolves are coming into this game off of a 104-102 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night. Minnesota split their two-game series with Portland over the weekend. The T’Wolves have a record of 2-8 in their last 10 games and 1-4 in their last five road games.

The Lakers have won two-straight contests after defeating the Golden State Warriors 128-97 on Monday night. Los Angeles has a record of 4-6 in their last 10 and is 18-8 against teams in the Western Conference this season.

Can the Timberwolves avoid the season sweep and steal a win from the Lakers? Or will Los Angeles get another win on the second night of a back-to-back? We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Timberwolves vs. Lakers, 10:30 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass

Pick ATS: Lakers -8.5

The line for Monday night’s game is currently set at 8.5 points, with the Lakers favored at home. The Timberwolves are one of the worst teams in the NBA this season with a record of 9-30. Minnesota is without a couple of key players due to injury and suspension such as D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley.

Without those two guys, it has led to more opportunities and minutes for rookie Anthony Edwards. The first overall pick has shined and had a couple of highlight dunks. On Sunday, he scored a career-high 34 points on 12-of-24 shooting from the field and 6-of-14 from distance against Portland.

Minnesota will be looking for that type of output on Tuesday night to try and pull the upset. The last time these two teams played on Feb. 16, Edwards scored 28 points in an eight-point loss in Minnesota. The Timberwolves have not been a great against the spread with a record of 3-9 in their last 12 games. They are also 1-6 ATS in their last seven contests against teams from the Pacific Division. In both games against the Lakers this season, the Timberwolves have failed to cover.

As for the Lakers, they are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games, but only 8-12 ATS at home. Their last ATS loss happened on Mar. 2 against the Suns (+1.5), where they lost 114-104. When they are playing in the second game of a back-to-back, Los Angeles has a record of 2-3 against the spread.

LeBron James has continued to play well this season in his quest to capture the MVP. He’s averaging 25.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.9 assists this season. In the Lakers’ last five games, James is producing 25.0 points, 7.6 assists, and 7.0 rebounds per game.
