One of the best days on the sports calendar is here. 16 games, 12+ hours of basketball, eight winners, at least two upsets that will get you out of your chair, and one boss you need to either ignore or watch games with all day.
For all the flaws of college sports and how they are administered, the NCAA Tournament is beautiful in its simplicity. Win and go on, lose and go home. 40 minutes for your season. And those that succeed end up immortalized in lore forever. UMBC. Valparaiso. Villanova. Texas Western. They are forever tied with what they did on magical days in March. And they all also covered the spread!
The journey begins today, and a nation celebrates. It’s been 710 days since we gathered to watch the biggest show in American sports. Let’s have some fun... and make some money too. You’ve got an office pool to win, and a pick that needs to cover!
Here are the splits for Friday, March 19: Day 1 of the first round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
