The 2021 NCAA Tournament is in full swing as the second round is set to kick off Sunday, March 21st. The West region of the bracket will send seven of the top eight teams into the second round. The lone exception? No. 13 seed Ohio Bobcats, fresh off a 62-58 win over No. 4 Virginia. They advance to face No. 5 Creighton on Monday. The big story from Saturday, however, was No. 7 Oregon advancing after No. 10 VCU forfeited due to COVID-19. This will be an issue to track over the rest of the tournament.
In the meantime, let’s take a look at the odds of some of its top contenders at DraftKings Sportsbook as we enter the second round of March Madness.
Ohio gets a modest bump from +6000 to +5000. This region features the biggest favorite among the four sides of the bracket. Gonzaga opened as -230 to advance to the Final Four, and has improved to -250 following their 43-point victory over No. 16 Norfolk State. Upsets do happen, but right now Gonzaga is looking really good and it’s hard to justify betting against them.
Here are the odds for each remaining team in the West region to make it to the Final Four entering the second round of the tournament.
