Florida Gators guard Tyree Appleby will be a starter for UF against the No. 15 Oral Roberts Golden Eagles in tonight’s second round NCAA Tournament game in the South Region.
Appleby suffered a brtual hit to the head during the second half of the No. 7 Gators 75-50 win over Virginia Tech on Friday. He missed the rest of the game and could be seen with stitches after bleeding all over the court at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Appleby averages 11.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, and is also an aggressive defender that might be asked to match up on Max Abmas of Oral Roberts defensively.
The Gators are a nine-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook as of this writing, and the total is set at 149. There’s also a bonus available for bettors as Oral Roberts, the underdog story of Round 1, will have their odds boosted on the money line +295 to +500 against Florida.
