Wahab averages 12.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, and will be one of the better names available in a transfer portal that has over 800 names in it already. High school recruiting in 2021 has basically grinded to a halt with the additional year of eligibility given to every player that participated in or opted-out of the 2020-21 season, and the consequences mean the portal is full of players looking for a new home to continue or complete their careers.
Georgetown big man Qudus Wahab is in the portal, per the portal.— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) March 25, 2021
The sophomore big man averaged 12.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, and was a force on the defensive end. He’ll be in demand by a ton of high-majors.
It’s the second-straight year there’s been a major transfer out of the Georgetown program, as Mac McClung left Washington D.C. last season on the way to being the leading scorer at Texas Tech. The Red Raiders fell to Arkansas in the second round of the NCAA Tournament this season.
