The top two teams in the Big East face off on Wednesday night when the No. 14 Creighton Bluejays take on the No. 10 Villanova Wildcats at The Pavilion in Radnor, PA. With a win, Creighton will still have a path to the No. 1 seed at the Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden next week.
Creighton (17-6, 13-5 Big East) is one of the more efficient offensive teams in college basketball, holding the 12th-best offense via KenPom.com. Junior guard Marcus Zegarowski leads all scorers with 14.9 points per game, but his real value is the 4.6 assists and other playmaking he provides as a point guard. The Jays lost at Xavier 77-69 on Saturday, and this game is key for their hopes of staying on a Top-4 line in the NCAA Tournament.
Villanova (15-4, 10-3 Big East) was massively upset by lowly Butler on Saturday 73-61, where they shot just 2-27 from three-point range as a team. Senior Collin Gillespie has a national championship from his freshman year on the Main Line, and he pairs with sophomore Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (15.5 points, 7.9 rebounds per game) to form one of the better duos in the league. The Cats are the third-best adjusted offense in college basketball, but concede 101.6 points per 100 possessions, a number that will need to improve if they’re to get back to the Final Four.

Point Spread, Totals, Odds, Trends
Point spread: Villanova -4
Point Total: 147
Moneyline: Creighton +155, Villanova -182
- Villanova has won eight in a row at home straight up, with the total going over in nine of their last 13 overall.
- Creighton is 4-6 ATS on the road this season, and 10-13 overall.
The Best Bet
Two teams in a bounceback spot, but the Cats are clearly the more talented team. If Robinson-Earl and Gillespie find some high-screen roll spots, they should have the shooters to knock down more than 2-27 threes at home.
Pick: Nova -4
