The No. 11 Florida State Seminoles will be looking to stay out of the bear trap as they face the lowly Boston College Eagles in Tallahassee at the Tucker Center on Wednesday night.
BC fired coach Jim Christian two weeks ago, and their best player in CJ Felder didn’t play in their last game against Notre Dame. But they found a 94-90 win over Notre Dame at home anyway via an inspired performance under interim coach Scott Spinelli. The Eagles (4-13, 2-9 ACC) still aren’t great, but they took care of their effort problem in their last outing on Senior Night.
Keep an eye out for Felder’s status, as that will be key for wagerers on this game.
Florida State keeps chugging along as the perennial best program that gets too little national attention. The Seminoles (14-4, 10-3 ACC) have become a team that can score more efficiently than any group under Leonard Hamilton so far, including 38.7% from three-point range led by MJ Walker at 12.6 ppg and .446 from distance. The Noles can just about sew up another ACC regular season title with a victory tonight, which doubles as Senior Night for Walker, RayQuan Evans, and Nathaniel Jack amongst rotation players.

The Best Bet
FSU is really good, but this game screams trap with Notre Dame on Saturday and then the ACC Tournament looming for the Seminoles. The Eagles are bad, but they’re a feisty kind of bad, and that’s good enough for the cover here.
Pick: BC +18.5
