The 2021 NFL Draft is on the horizon while free agency has gone through its initial burst. That brings us to our next fantasy rankings update. We’ll take into account all of the signings, but will continue to steer clear of ranking rookies. These are based on .5 PPR scoring.
The tight end landscape changed quite a bit due to free agency, as the New England Patriots grabbed the two best free agents in Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith. That will of course hurt both in fantasy, but other moves should boost a few tight ends in fantasy.
The Vikings Irv Smith Jr. will become the go-to guy in Minnesota after Kyle Rudolph signed with the Giants. Jared Cook will get an upgrade at quarterback as he moves from New Orleans to the Los Angeles Chargers. Adam Trautman should take over for Cook in New Orleans. Gerald Everett will get a chance to win the starting job in Seattle. Tyler Higbee should see a stronger target ceiling with Everett gone, while Anthony Firkser is the de facto No. 1 in Tennessee with Smith in New England.
Soon to be rookie Kyle Pitts will make an immediate impact, but we don’t know where yet. He’s good enough to be taken by just about any team that doesn’t have Travis Kelce, George Kittle or Darren Waller already.
