Kyle Pitts has been long-hailed as one of the best tight end prospects we’ve seen emerge from the NFL draft in quite some time. He entered his Florida Pro Day with what was already projected to be top-10 draft capital. Is there still room for him to climb? There might be after Wednesday’s performance.
Pitts finished the 2020 season with leading all tight ends in the FBS with 770 receiving yards and 12 total touchdowns in just eight games. Despite his large frame, which measured in at 6’5 5/8” and 245 pounds Wednesday, Pitts has continuously displayed athleticism that can compete with those much smaller. Essentially a wide receiver with the body of a tight end, Pitts has a chance to be an immediate weapon in any offensive system.
