The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is back in action after taking last week off. The truck circuit drops the green flag for the Bucked Up 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday, March 5. The race starts 9 p.m. ET and airs on FS1.
Ben Rhodes is the pole sitter for the race and is installed at +2000 to win at DraftKings Sportsbook. Sheldon Creed joins him on the front row and has the second best odds at +550. The heavy favorite is Kyle Busch, who is installed at -125 and starting 29th.
Although he’s starting in the back half of the field, Busch has dominated the Truck Series in recent years as a part-timer racer. He’s won the Truck Series race in Las Vegas each of the last three years, and has won 10 of his last 13 races on the circuit.
NASCAR is not conducting qualifying runs this weekend due to COVID-19. The organization will have qualifying runs at eight tracks in 2021, with the starting lineup in the remainder of the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series races determined through a performance-metrics formula. 25 percent of the metric comes from a driver’s finishing position from the previous race, 25 percent comes from the car owner’s finishing position from the previous race, 35 percent comes from the team owner’s points ranking, and 15 percent comes from the fastest lap from the previous race.
Here is the full lineup for Friday’s Bucked Up 200 Truck Series race.
