The Phoenix Suns, fresh off a big 114-104 win over the Lakers, will host the ninth-place Warriors as they look to finish strong heading into the All-Star break. The Suns have quietly (or maybe not-so-quietly) moved into second place in the western conference, surpassing both the Lakers and the Clippers while moving to only three games behind the conference-leading Jazz. They’re on a three-game winning streak while the Golden State Warriors have lost their last two in a row, so momentum is sure to be on Phoenix’s side.
Update: Stephen Curry (rest) and Draymond Green (ankle) are out for the Warriors.
Warriors vs. Suns, 10:00 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass
Pick ATS: Suns -6.5
The Suns duo of Devin Booker and Chris Paul has just been too much for most teams they’ve faced recently, as Booker has averaged 29.8 points through his last five games as Paul has averaged an impressive 11.8 assists per game in that same stretch, logging double-doubles in three of those games. He’s gone four games straight with 10 or more assists, proving to be a huge influence on the court even when he’s not scoring a ton of points.
In terms of head-to-head matchups, the Suns have won their last two meetings with the Warriors, while covering the spread in their last three. They’ve also covered the spread in all 23 of their wins this season, so history is definitely on their side tonight.
