The Nebraska Cornhuskers have a tall task in front of them as they travel to Iowa City to take on the No. 5 Iowa Hawkeyes and their powerful offense on Thursday night at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Nebraska (7-17, 3-14 B1G) hasn’t had an easy time taking on any team this season and have fared particularly terribly in Big Ten play. Though they are on a two-game winning streak, they had lost nine of their last 10 previously. The Cornhuskers are led by Teddy Allen who is scoring 16.5 points per game, but no other member of the team is averaging more than 10.5 points per contest. KenPom ranks them as the 185th most efficient offense in the nation, which many would consider less than ideal when taking on Iowa.

The Hawkeyes (18-7, 12-6 B1G) offense has been fantastic this season, scoring nearly 85 points per game. They’ve won four of their last five, with their only loss in that span coming against No. 2 Michigan. Senior center Luka Garza is one of the best players in the nation and a favorite for the Wooden Award. He’s leading Iowa in points at 24.3 per game, rebounds with 8.4, and steals with just over one per contest. But he’s not the only great scorer for them, with Joe Wieskamp averaging more than 15 points per game as well.

KenPom is giving the Hawkeyes a 97% chance to win this game.
