Earlier in the season when these two teams met, Texas (15-7, 9-6 Big 12) fell by one point in Austin. Since that loss they’ve gone 4-4, losing two of their last four overall. Their offense is averaging around 75 points per game and they don’t have one go-to guy who powers the offense. The Longhorns' leading scorer is Andrew Jones, but he is scoring about 15 points in each contest. They also have Courtney Ramey and Matt Coleman III right behind him, with 14 and 13 points per game respectively. On defense, UT is allowing their opponents to score about 69 points per contest and are ranked as the 34th most efficient defense in the nation, according to KenPom.
The Sooners (14-8, 9-7 Big 12) look virtually identical to Texas from a statistical standpoint. They’re averaging 76 points per game and are allowing 69 points to their opponents each time out. But they’ve been struggling recently, heading into this game on a three-game losing streak. OU isn’t as diverse on offense, having Austin Reaves score the lion’s share of their points each time out. He’s averaging over 17 points per game and they have just one other player averaging more than 11 points.
KenPom is giving Oklahoma a 53% chance to win this one, primarily because the game is happening at home for them.

The Best Bet
Considering where the point total is on this one, the team’s average points scored, points allowed, and the recent trends, it’s pretty easy to see the over hitting here. This game should be close and could go either way, so all other bets are far riskier here.
