The PGA Tour is in Orlando, Florida this weekend at the annual Arnold Palmer Invitational. Next week brings THE PLAYERS Championship, but this weekend includes a plenty prestigious field. Patrick Reed is the biggest name who missed the cut, but otherwise it’s a pretty strong weekend.
Corey Conners heads into the weekend with a one-shot lead having shot -9 through 36 holes. Martin Laird finished Friday at -8, followed by Viktor Hovland, Rory McIlroy, and Lanto Griffin at -7.
The third round of the tournament gets underway on Saturday morning with the first tee times at 7:30 a.m. ET. TV coverage starts at 12:30 p.m. on Golf Channel and then follows with NBC coverage from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. PGA Tour Live will have coverage from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Since this is an invitational, the field is smaller than usual. We have pairs for the weekend, with one player going it alone due to an odd number. Pat Perez gets the day going at 7:30 a.m., and he’s followed five minutes later by the pair of Charles Howell III and Brandt Snedeker. Corey Conners and Martin Laird have the final tee time at 1:45 p.m.
