The Michigan State Spartans will be looking to upset on their in-state rivals, the No. 2-ranked Michigan Wolverines Sunday afternoon. These long-time rivals just played each other Thursday, with the Wolverines dominating in an easy 69-50 win.
The Spartans (14-11, 8-11 Big Ten) have once last chance to improve their resume before the Big Ten tournament begins. In Thursday’s 19-point loss, Michigan State only had one player in double figures — Aaron Henry, who had 14 points and five rebounds. As a team, Michigan State struggled to score as they shot 36.4 percent from the field and 0-for-9 from three-point range. And right now most bracketologists have them in the NIT or at home during March Madness.
The Wolverines (19-2, 14-2 Big Ten) continued to establish their dominance over the Big Ten, capturing the regular season title Thursday. Franz Wagner led the way with 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 from three-point range. Along with Wagner, Hunter Dickinson had a double-double consisting of 14 points (6-8 FG) and 10 rebounds. The Maize and Blue shot 50 percent from the field and 43.8 percent from behind the arc.

The Best Bet
The Wolverines will be trying to capture their 20th win to end the regular season on Sunday afternoon. Despite clinching the regular-season title, Michigan would also love to sweep the Spartans. Michigan has been great ATS on the road with a record of 6-1 in their last seven contests. The only time they did not cover was against the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Jan. 16, where the Wolverines lost 75-57 (-5.5). They are a better all-around team than the Spartans, who struggled to score and shoot the ball earlier this week,.
Pick: Michigan -8
