The PGA Tour is headed to San Antonio this week for the Valero Texas Open to compete for a $7.7 million purse. The 144-player field will compete at The Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio in Texas in what is the last tournament before next week’s Masters at Augusta Country Club.
The Valero Texas Open features some quality talent, but the biggest names are taking the week before the Masters. Tony Finau heads into San Antonio as the favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, with +1100 odds. He’s followed by Jordan Spieth (+1200), Scottie Scheffler (+1400), and Hideki Matsuyama and 2019 champ Corey Conners (both +1800). Last year’s tournament was canceled due to COVID-19, so Conners remains the defending champ. That year’s runner up was Charley Hoffman and he is installed at +3300 to win the tournament.
The second round of the tournament gets underway on Friday with tee times starting at 8:25 p.m. ET. You can watch the second round of the tournament on television through Golf Channel coverage from 4-7 p.m. PGA Tour LIVE will offer streaming coverage of featured groups from 8:15 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Below is a full list of tee times for Round 2 of the Valero Texas Open on Friday. The featured groups on Thursday are the trio of Tony Finau, Cameron Champ, and Joel Dahmen, and the trio of Phil Mickelson, Matt Kuchar, and Hideki Matsuyama.
