The Cincinnati Reds started off their three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on a good note, with a 6-5 win in extra innings Friday night. The two teams will play each other again on Saturday night at 8:10 p.m. ET. Cincinnati left fielder Jesse Winkler had a team-high three hits, with an RBI and run scored. Tyler Naquin also hit his fifth home run of the season. For Arizona, second baseman Eduardo Escobar went 2-for-5, which included a two-run home run in the eighth inning to help send the game to extra innings.

On Saturday, Jeff Hoffman will be on the mound for the streaking Reds, while Arizona will put Riley Smith on the bump. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Reds vs. Diamondbacks, 8:10 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Reds -129

The spread for Saturday night’s contest is set at -1.5 runs, with the Reds favored on the road. Cincinnati is also the favorite on the moneyline at -129. The Reds are the best offensive team in the majors, averaging nine runs per game. The next closest team is the Houston Astros in the American League with 6.62 runs per game. Cincinnati has won six straight games by an average of 6.2 runs. Out of their six wins, the Reds have scored 10 or more runs three times.

The Reds will turn the ball over to Hoffman, who had a solid first start last week. Against the St. Louis Cardinals, he registered six strikeouts, three hits, and one earned run in 5.0 IP. The D-Backs, however, are trying to snap a three-game losing skid. Arizona’s offense has gotten off to a slow start offensively, slashing .205/.279/.358. It does not help that they down Ketel Marte, who is on the 10-day IL and is their best offensive player.

Player Prop: Jeff Hoffman O4.5 strikeouts (+125)

This player prop play is more about the struggling D-Backs’ offense, which is only hitting .205/.279/.358 to start the season. Hoffman got off to a great start in his season debut last week versus the St. Louis Cardinals. The 28-year-old starter held St. Louis’ offense to three hits, one earned run, and struck out six over 5.0 IP. Last season, Hoffman never had more than three strikeouts in a game. In four games against Arizona, Hoffman has a 9.79 ERA, with 30 strikeouts in 26.2 IP, and given up eight home runs.
