Moneyline pick, best player prop for Red Sox vs. Twins on Monday [UPDATE]

We go over some of the best betting options for Monday’s matchup between the Red Sox and Twins.

MLB: Minnesota Twins at Detroit Tigers Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

On Monday afternoon the Boston Red Sox (6-3) head out to the Twin Cities to take on the Minnesota Twins (5-4) at Target Field. We’ll break down the best picks on the moneyline and a player prop so you can cash in before the work day is done.

UPDATE: Today’s game between the Red Sox and Twins has been postponed. The Twins announced it is not weather related.

Red Sox vs. Twins, 2:10 p.m. ET, ESPN+

Moneyline pick: Red Sox +133

There’s no denying it right now, but Boston is on a roll. After losing their first three games out of the gate, they’ve turned it around and won six straight, including a three-game sweep of the reigning AL champions the Tampa Bay Rays. Still, it’s important to note three of their wins came against the Baltimore Orioles, who have a ton of issues of their own.

While the Twins are the only team currently sitting above .500 that the Red Sox will have gone up against on the young season, a hot streak in baseball is a dangerous thing to bet against.

Player Prop: Nelson Cruz over 0.5 hits (-240)

This really seems like free money for those willing to put it down. Cruz is riding a six game hitting streak and has hit safely in seven of the last eight games he’s played. If he’s in the starting lineup, it’s a no brainer.
