On Monday night the Philadelphia Phillies (6-3) head to the Big Apple to take on the New York Mets for an NL East showdown. We’ll have the best picks on the moneyline for this game as well as the player prop we think has the best chance to hit.
Update: Today’s game between the Phils and Mets has been postponed due to rain. There will be a day-night double-header on Tuesday.
Phillies vs. Mets, 7:10 p.m. ET
Moneyline pick: Phillies +118
This matchup will be the fourth time these two teams have met so far on the young season, with the Phillies coming out on top in two of the previous three games. Rookie SP David Peterson is projected to start for the Mets, and he had a tough go of it in his first meeting with Philly.
During the first outing, Peterson allowed six runs on seven hits, two of which were home runs. He was pulled after completing just four innings of work. This Phillies offense clearly has his number and the Mets struggle to produce runs, scoring more than three runs just once this season.
Player Prop: JT Realmuto over 0.5 RBI (+180)
The last time the Phillies took on Peterson, the catcher had one of his best games of the season so far. He finished the day with three RBI. Though you really can’t go wrong with the same line on Rhys Hoskins (+191) or Bryce Harper (+171). Both of them had an RBI and multiple hits last time out against Peterson and the NY bullpen.
