The Boston Celtics will hope to keep their recent success going against a Portland Trail Blazers team that dipped a bit during the month of April on Tuesday night. The Celtics won five of their last six games with a 28-26 record, which is the seventh best in the Eastern Conference. Portland will enter with a 31-22 record for the sixth best mark in the West, but they are just 2-4 this month against some tough competition.
The Celtics’ recent trade piece Evan Fournier remains in the NBA’s health and safety protocol and hasn’t played since April 4th. There are no new injuries for Portland heading into Tuesday’s game.
Celtics vs. Trail Blazers, 10:00 p.m. ET, TNT
Pick ATS: Trail Blazers -1
This is the second straight road game for Boston, but they had a day off in between. Meanwhile, Portland also did not play on Monday as they enter their third consecutive home game. With a matchup this tight, let’s go with the healthier team especially at home. The body clock factor should slightly favor the Trail Blazers with the late start, and they should shoot much better from the three-point line than they did in Sunday’s loss to the Miami Heat.
Player Prop: Damian Lillard O25.5 points (-122)
This is purely based off of narrative. There’s absolutely no way Dame has another poor offensive game. He’s failed to score 20 points in three out of six games in April. In two of the past five games, he’s gotten there, but while struggling from the field. Lillard should step up in what should be a close game at home. I just think it’s Dame Time tonight. Plain and simple.
