Best MLB team stacks for DFS on Tuesday, April 13th

We have 17 games in MLB on Tuesday, which means there are endless opportunities for your prospective lineup in DFS. The main slate features 11 games starting around 7:05 p.m. ET. And there’s also three early games beginning at 2:10 p.m. ET, with the Boston Red Sox taking on the Minnesota Twins.

Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on April 13th.

Braves vs. Marlins, 7:20 p.m. ET

Ronald Acuna Jr. ($6100)

The Braves’ offense has been up and down to start the season, but seemed to figure things out in their recent series against the Phillies. Acuna is the highest-priced player on this particular stack, but is worth the price to play. The star outfielder has scored 10 or more fantasy points in four straight games. He’s also hitting 10-14 with two home runs, four RBI, and three walks over that span of time.

Atlanta will be going up against Marlins’ starter Pablo Lopez, who has struggled against the Braves. In eight career starts, Lopez has a record of 2-4 with an ERA of 4.4. He has also allowed five home runs, which is the second-most versus any team in his career. To make matters worse, Lopez has an ERA of 8.47 and 1-3 record at Truist Park. It’s an expensive stack, but could pay major dividends if Acuna, Freeman or Albies can get on base.

Royals vs. Angels, 8:10 p.m. ET

Whit Merrifield ($5800)

This stack might have the most upside and value in the Kansas City Royals. The Royals have two good players in Merrifield and Perez, who can get on both and change the complexion of the game with one swing. This is one of the reasons why they are the highest-priced players for the Royals.

But another reason why this is a good stack is Angels starting pitcher Dylan Bundy, who has a career 4.54 ERA against the Royals and has allowed seven home runs. Outfielder Jorge Soler, who has not hit a home run since Opening Day, could be a cheap value play. Over his career against Bundy, he’s 3-for-8 with a home run and two RBI in nine plate appearances.

Astros vs. Tigers, 8:10 p.m. ET

The Houston Astros will be looking to snap their three-game losing streak on Tuesday night against the Detroit Tigers. The Astros’ offense has struggled recently, only averaging 2.3 runs per game, which is a far cry from their hot start to open up the season.

Houston will look get back on track against Tigers’ ace Matthew Boyd. He has a record of 1-1 and an ERA of 2.13 ERA, along with 10 strikeouts and 12.2 IP. The veteran pitcher hasn’t given up a home run yet this season in two starts. Therefore, the reason why we are picking this stack is because Boyd’s history against the Astros. In four starts, Boyd has an ERA of 5.91 with a record of 2-1, but has allowed seven home runs.

In his only start at Minute Maid Park, Boyd only went five innings, before giving up two home runs and five earned runs. Right-handed batters are also hitting .266/.328/.481 against Boyd in his career, which is a good sign for Altuve, Correa, and Gurriel.
