Moneyline pick, best player prop for Rockies vs. Dodgers on Tuesday

We go over some of the best betting options for Tuesday’s matchup between the Colorado Rockies and LA Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have gotten off to a hot start and will enter Tuesday night’s home game against the Colorado Rockies with the best record in baseball at 8-2. That includes winning three of four games in Colorado in the opening series of the season. The Rockies are coming off a series against the San Francisco Giants where they scored just four total runs and lost all three games to drop to 3-7.

Both teams had Monday off, and the Dodgers will turn to their stud free agent signing Trevor Bauer, who has allowed six earned runs in 13 innings of work through two starts. He struck out 10 batters in both outings. Antonio Senzatela will pitch for Colorado after a pair of starts with opposite results. Against the Dodgers on April 2nd, he allowed seven runs in 3.1 innings but threw eight scoreless innings in his last time out in a win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Rockies vs. Dodgers, 10:10 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Rockies +260

The Dodgers are favored heavily by oddsmakers in this matchup as they’re getting -345 odds to win this game. You’d have to spend quite a bit of money on Los Angeles to return any kind of profit, and the lesser teams win in baseball all the time. Senzatela is coming off a fantastic performance, and Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger have missed each of the last four games, and it’s unclear whether Betts will be back in the lineup. Given this price, Colorado is worth the risk.

Player Prop: Antonio Senzatela O3.5 strikeouts (+130)

With uncertainty surrounding the status of Betts, Senzatela’s player prop looks like a tantalizing play on Tuesday night. The 26-year-old pitcher is coming off a solid outing versus the Arizona Diamondbacks, allowing four hits, two walks, zero runs and striking out three in eight innings pitched. In 11 career games against the Dodgers, Senzatela has an ERA of 6.70 with a record of 3-4 and 5.3 K/9. He also hasn’t gone over his strikeout total since 2019 against Los Angeles.
