The NASCAR Truck Series hits the the track on Saturday in Richmond with the 2021 ToyotaCare 250. The race runs Saturday, April 17 at 1:30 p.m. ET. It airs on FS1 and will be available for streaming on the FOX Sports GO app.
Ben Rhodes has the pole position for this race and is joined on the front row by Austin Hill. Grant Enfinger and Stewart Friesen are in the second row. There were no qualifying runs this week due to COVID-19. NASCAR has pivoted to a performance-metric formula for determining race order at all but eight tracks this season. 25 percent of the metric comes from a driver’s finishing position from the previous race, 25 percent comes from the car owner’s finishing position from the previous race, 35 percent comes from the team owner’s points ranking, and 15 percent comes from the fastest lap from the previous race.
Kyle Busch is a heavy favorite to win this race at DraftKings Sportsbook. He’s installed at -130, with John H. Nemecheck the next closest at +750. Busch has never raced a truck at Richmond, but is a dominant truck driver. This season, he won in Atlanta and finished second in Las Vegas. In his last 15 truck races dating back to 2018, he has won 11 races and finished second three times.
