Two potential NBA Finals contenders will link up at Wells Fargo Center for the marquee ESPN showcase tonight as the first-place Philadelphia 76ers will play host to the white hot Los Angeles Clippers.
The Clippers (39-18) are riding a seven-game winning streak into this one and will look to cap their three-game road trip with a win over the top team in the Eastern Conference. They managed to sneak a 100-98 win at Detroit without Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Marcus Morris Sr. in the lineup.
The Sixers (38-17) managed to grab hold of the top seed in the East on Wednesday with a 123-117 win at Brooklyn, one where a dominant Joel Embiid went off for 39 points and 13 boards.
Notably, George should be back in action tonight for LA after resting on Wednesday while Leonard is listed as questionable. Tobias Harris on the Philly side is also listed as questionable with a knee issue.

LA defeated Philly 122-112 just a few weeks ago but that was with Mike Scott starting in place of an injured Embiid. Since the MVP candidate has returned, the 76ers have been rolling with five wins in their last seven games , four of them coming by nine points or more.
Even with a rested Paul George, the status of Leonard could play a factor on the road here, giving the edge to Philly in this primetime matchup.

With potentially no Kawhi Leonard tonight, the bulk of the offensive load will once again be on PG, who is averaging 34.3 points in his last four games.
