Saturday’s five-game main NBA slate on DraftKings will begin at 8:00 p.m. ET. One of the first matchups in the lineup is loaded with fantasy upside because of its desirable high-priced and value options.
Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the NBA game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can read more about the concept of stacking here, but the main goal is to take advantage of this plus-matchup and use the salary cap to your advantage.
Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the NBA slate on April 17th.
Detroit Pistons vs. Washington Wizards, 8 p.m.
Russell Westbrook ($10,900)
Bradley Beal ($8,700)
Daniel Gafford ($3,500)
The tandem of Westbrook and Beal is a lock to crack 100 DKFP every night. Westbrook has tallied more than 60 in seven of his last 10 games. Beal has scored 30 or more points in three straight games and appears to have bounced back from the back injury that sidelined him in late March and early April. It can be difficult to predict who the third wheel when two players produce so much, but Gafford is working his way back into the rotation and is a quality value option.
Gafford missed Washington’s first four games of April with a leg injury he suffered in his first game with the team but has returned at least 7x value twice since returning. He’s led Wizards centers in minutes in three of his last four games. He’s averaging 1.2 DKFP per minute since being traded by the Chicago Bulls.
The Pistons don’t look great on paper, but loading up with two or three of them isn’t a bad idea. Jerami Grant ($6,500) and Saddiq Bey ($5,200) are under $7K are almost certain to play at least 35 minutes. Both have returned at least 5x value in three straight games and could get a bump against the Wizards’ abysmal defense.
