There’s a battle between two division leaders out west on Monday night when the AL West-leading Seattle Mariners welcome in the NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers to T-Mobile Park.
Both teams are very well-rounded and are two of just four squads to hit the 10-win mark so far on the season. Shockingly enough, even with both teams sitting with very good records, neither is currently on a winning streak or a losing streak for that matter, so “being hot” isn’t really something to consider in this matchup.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Seattle Mariners, 10:10 p.m. ET, ESPN+
Moneyline pick: Dodgers -200
LA is the best team in baseball so far on the young season and are the defending World Series champions. Since the season began, they’ve kind of steamrolled through everybody with just three slip-ups along the way. Right-handed hurler Dustin May will get the start for the boys in blue. He’s having a solid season through two starts, tossing 10.1 innings and allowing just two runs over that span.
His counterpart, Seattle’s Justus Sheffield, has been solid in his own right. In 2021, he’s given up six runs over 11 innings. But Sheffield hasn’t seen an offense as overpowering as the Dodgers yet. They rank in the top three in the NL in hits, runs, batting average, slugging and OPS. The Mariners don’t crack the top five in any of those categories on the AL side.
Player Prop: TBD
