North Dakota State University quarterback Trey Lance is set to hold his second pro day Monday with several NFL teams in attendance. We’ll keep you posted throughout the day as we get updates regarding Lance’s second Pro Day at NDSU and post any videos as they become available.
The San Francisco 49ers are on the list of teams to be there, having caused a ruckus in the NFL draft community after trading up to the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Though the bulk of speculation has pinned Alabama QB Mac Jones as their pick, there have been plenty of questions as to whether this is a smokescreen. Other teams in attendance will include the Atlanta Falcons who sit with the No. 4 overall pick, Denver Broncos (No. 9) New England Patriots (No. 15) and Chicago Bears.
ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper’s latest NFL mock draft has Lance drafted No. 6 overall by the Falcons, who traded back from No. 4 to No. 6 with the Miami Dolphins. NFL Network Draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah also had Lance drafted to the Falcons in his latest mock, though he projected they do so with the No. 4 overall pick.
Odds available on DraftKings Sportsbook show the bulk of bets placed on the Denver Broncos to draft the young quarterback, receiving 23% of bets and 16% of the handle with odds at +300. Receiving the bulk of the handle are the San Francisco 49ers at 39%, who also have odds at +300. Odds to be drafted in the top-five picks in the 2021 NFL Draft sit at -110, while he’s at -500 to be drafted in the top-10.
