NBA DFS value plays under $5K for Monday, April 19

We go over some top bargain options under $5K on DraftKings for Momday’s main slate.

Dean Wade is the value pick of the day

Monday night’s slate of NBA games unfortunately features some of the game’s best players out of the lineup or questionable to play with injuries but without the stars on the floor, there is value to be had with players stepping up to play an increased role. As always, be sure to check injury reports before submitting your DFS lineup.

That being said, it is a great time to give you some value plays for your DFS contest. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value.

In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays under $5K that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. It does not matter if you are playing a 50/50 or Double Up contest, we are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.

Goran Dragic, Miami Heat, $4,800

Dragic has not been shooting his best in recent games, but the Miami Heat point guard has a low price with a bit of upside going up against the Houston Rockets defense that ranks No. 26 in the NBA in points allowed per game. He went for a big fantasy day on Sunday with 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists despite making just 6 of 16 shots from the floor. Dragic has double-digit field goal attempts in each of his last three games, and the Rockets rank No. 23 in opponent field goal percentage, so plenty of those looks should be open for him to have a solid night and provide DFS value.

Facundo Campazzo, Denver Nuggets, $4,700

The Nuggets suffered a huge blow recently with the loss of Jamal Murray for the rest of the season, but he’s not the only Denver guard missing time as point guard Monte Morris is out for Monday’s game as well. Campazzo figures to see an increase in playing time and can be used in the point guard or shooting guard position in your DFS lineup.

Armoni Brooks, Houston Rockets, $3,500

If you’re looking for a deep sleeper for Monday night, taking a flyer on rookie point guard Armoni Brooks at this price could be a value play as you spend your money elsewhere. He has played in five career games but is coming off a 5-for-6 shooting performance from the three-point line in Sunday’s win over the Orlando Magic for 16 points in his first start. On Monday, he’s going up against the Miami Heat, which allow the second most three-point attempts per game. In limited action, he is knocking down 52.4% of shots from long range this season.
