The New York Knicks (24-24) will play host to the Dallas Mavericks (25-21) tonight as both teams are still in the playoff picture heading into April. The Mavs have won their last two straight, going 6-4 in their last 10 while the Knicks are 5-5 in their last 10 while losing their last two games. The Knicks have been a decent home team this season, boasting a 14-9 record at Madison Square Garden while also holding the best defense in the league with only 104.5 points per game allowed.

Despite the Knicks record at home, the Mavs have been playing extremely well, winning 12 of their last 18 outings while covering the spread in four of their last six games. As good as the Knicks’ defense is, Dallas’ offense has been just as outstanding lately. The Knicks also have only been averaging 104.8 points per game — the third-worst offense in the league. New York will also be without Mitchell Robinson (foot) who just underwent surgery, while RJ Barrett (ankle), Derrick Rose (ankle), and Reggie Bullock (illness) are all listed as questionable for the home side. The Mavericks will be missing JJ Redick (heel), but aside from that should have a near full-strength squad at MSG tonight. The Knicks have a tough task at hand and will have to stop a very explosive offense if they want to put a win in the books.
Player Prop: Luka Doncic O3.5 three-pointers (+140)
Regardless of the New York’s tough defense, given the injuries plaguing the team and how good the Mavericks are as of late, it’s not out of the question for Doncic to be able to drain plenty from downtown. He’s only failed to hit less than four three-pointers once in his last seven games, most recently going 7-for-11 from beyond the arc in their win against the Celtics a couple nights ago.
