Pick against the spread, best player prop for Suns vs. Sixers on Wednesday

We go over some of the best betting options for Wednesday’s matchup between the Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers.

NBA: Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Could we see an NBA Finals preview on Wednesday night? It’s possible as the Philadelphia 76ers remain the No. 1 team in the Eastern Conference as they host the Phoenix Suns, who are 1.5 games behind the Utah Jazz for the West’s top spot. Philadelphia had a four-game winning streak snapped in their last time out in a home loss to the Golden State Warriors, while the Suns took down the Milwaukee Bucks in overtime Monday night to win for the fifth time in six games.

Philadelphia’s second leading scorer Tobias Harris missed each of the last two games with a knee injury and is questionable to play, as is Ben Simmons, who sat out last game with an illness. For Phoenix, Abdel Nader remains out indefinitely, and Dario Saric is expected to play despite an injury to his ankle.

Update: The Sixers have Joel Embiid and Seth Curry also questionable to play vs. the Suns. Grab Phoenix spread if you can before the line shifts a bit. Philly could opt to sit Embiid, Simmons and Harris.

Pick ATS: Suns -1

This is a tough game to handicap as reports have not come out at this point whether Harris and/or Simmons will suit up for the 76ers, but we’re going with Phoenix as slight favorites on the road. Philadelphia is in a tough spot as they travel to play the Bucks in a key Eastern Conference matchup on Thursday night for a back-to-back, and that would be their third game in four days, so there is potential for a lookahead letdown. Neither team has been great against the spread recently, but the 76ers covered just four times in their last 12 games. Let’s go with the Suns.
