Pick against the spread, best player prop for Suns vs. Celtics on Thursday

We go over some of the best betting options for Thursday’s matchup between the Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics.

Don’t shy away from Kemba Walker against Phoenix

The Phoenix Suns (42-16), arguably the hottest team in the league right now, will continue their East coast road trip as they head to Boston to take on the Celtics (31-27). The Suns are 2-0 on this trip, taking down the Bucks 128-127 in overtime on Monday, while squeaking out another win in Philiadelphia, toppling the Sixers 116-113 on Wednesday. They’ll hope to see a similar result in Boston tonight, but both teams have gone 8-2 in their last 10 games, meaning Boston won’t be an easy opponent to beat.

Suns vs. Celtics, 7:00 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass

Pick ATS: Celtics +2.5

The Celtics are well-rested after their last game on Monday, while tonight will mark three games in four days on the road for the Suns, who could be showing signs of fatigue at TD Garden. On top of that, the visitors could be without Jae Crowder, who is listed as questionable after leaving the game in Philadelphia early on Wednesday, when he suffered a right ankle sprain after only 13 minutes. Chris Paul has been instrumental on this east coast swing, logging 28 points and eight assists in Philadelphia, and adding 22 points, 13 assists, and seven rebounds on Monday in Milwaukee. The combination of Paul and Devin Booker has continued to look relatively unstoppable.

On the other side, the Celtics will have Jayson Tatum (ankle) in the lineup after he was listed as questionable. He’s been key for the Celtics especially in April, averaging 27.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this month. The Celtics are coming off a six-game winning streak that was snapped by the visiting Chicago Bulls on Monday by a score of 102-96. Tatum only went for 14 points, but ended up with a triple-double by adding 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Jaylen Brown led the way in scoring with 23 points of his own. Tatum’s performance, while a solid contribution, was drastically different from the 44 points he put in against the Warriors last Saturday when the Celtics took down Golden State 119-114.

With Tatum available to play, expect the Celtics to eke out a win against a tired Suns team who just barely came out on top against the last two sides they faced.
