Emanuel Navarrete is set to defend his WBO featherweight title Saturday, April 24th against boxer Christopher Diaz. The two will square off at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida with the main card slated to start at 10:00 p.m. ET.

This fight marks Navarrete’s first defense of the featherweight title. He won the belt last October, beating Ruben Villa via unanimous decision in Las Vegas for the vacant belt. Navarrete is 32-1 and this will be his third fight in the featherweight division. He previously fought at super bantamweight where he claimed the WBO’s title in 2018 and successfully defended it five times.

Diaz has held a tertiary title — the WBO NABO super featherweight championship — but is looking to break through for a bigger belt. He is 26-2 overall but both losses came in title fights. He has won two straight coming into this fight, claiming unanimous decisions against Jason Sanchez and Adeilson Dos Santos.
